We had a night over at Rosie & Stephens tonight – the kids all took over their uniforms to get some photos.  We had a great curry and a few glasses of wine.  Got home about 1 o’clock!

Camera Club Outing

DSC_7300-EditWe have had a terrible summer as far as the weather has been concerned – not cold, but the amount of rain we have had would burst you.  Despite all the rain, there has only been one Wednesday night which has been rained off, but Wednesday was not looking promising.  At the last minute the rain went off and we headed out to the old India Tyre Factory – now converted into lovely offices and a restaurant.

First Day Of School

>> Tuesday, August 18, 2009

DSC_7272Ella started Primary school today and Meg started the big school.  Everyone looked very smart in their new uniforms.  Pat will probably leave half of it out in the playground!  I dropped Megan near the big school, where she was meeting up with her friends, and then came back to get the rest.  Ella took everything in her stride – as expected.  They were all sitting at the desk with colouring pencils and pictures when we left.

Notice Megan has got her plaster cast off.

Ski Centre Gala Day

>> Sunday, August 16, 2009

DSC_7162-EditWe were at the ski centre today to pick up the winter lesson vouchers.  If you buy them today you get 20% off, so it is worth waiting in the queue.  They have lots of things going on – climbing wall, tubing, trampolines, tubing, basketball etc all to help with the upkeep of the club.

Ella at Ski School

>> Friday, August 14, 2009

We had booked Megan and Patrick into ski school ages ago.  It is 2.5 hours skiing Monday through to Friday, so we thought it might be a bit much for Ella.  A couple of weeks ago we decided to give it a go and see how she got on.  The week Meg and Pat were booked into was full so she was there all this week.  She did fantastic – there wasn’t one regret about putting her in.  She loved it.

She had all previous lessons while the slope was quiet (most of the time she was on it herself), so we were worried how she would cope when it was so busy – nae bother!

Glasgow Science Centre

DSC_6972-EditThere were about 9 of us out last night for the weekly camera club summer outing.  The weather had been wet most of the day, but the sun came out and it was a lovely night.  We were heading down to the Science Centre again.  A few of us went a walk down to see the new walk bridge – bit of a hike, but it was a nice night and there was plenty to photograph on the way.

Granny died 1 year ago today

>> Wednesday, August 12, 2009

imageMo is really good with dates and she mentioned last night that Granny died 1 year ago today.  Would have been nice to pop round for a pie and and a cream cake, but everyone has to die.  She left a great family who she was proud of and who thought she was magic!!  A few of my favourite pictures below, but you can have a look at the original slideshow here.
